Crowhurst Street Newmarket Retail Development

T Build was presented with a challenge on Crowhurst Street in New Market to modernize an existing retail warehouse which dates back to the early 1950’s. The scope of works included modernizing the façade of the building, creating 3 new tenancies within the footprint of the old building, decreasing the size of the existing tenancy and all while working around the existing tenants day to day operations.

T Build commissioned Burgess and Treep Architects to come up with a cost effective plan to modernize the building while still fitting in with strict town planning restrictions and the character of the original building.

On the façade of the building new commercial shop fronts were installed while the buildings concrete and brick structure was solid plastered and painted to give a modern look to the building. Within the building each new tenancy gained a new staff kitchenette and mobility toilet facility.

The new look retail development has attracted high profile food and liquor stores.
